Pin and Stretch/Trigger Point Release
These techniques are a great way to help break up scar tissue and help tight muscles to relax. This is done by contacting specific points or tender spots a long a muscle, while taking the body through the specific motions performed by the muscle being contacted. This is done by the doctor using their hands to contact the points on the muscle and helping move the body through the ranges of motion passively, or by the patient moving through the ranges of motion actively. This technique can also help reduce muscle spasms and referred pain to other areas.
Cox Flexion Distraction
Cox Technique is a great way to treat low back pain and leg pain. The flexion distraction can actually help to reduce herniated disc and relieve the symptoms of sciatica. It is also a great way to help improve mobility with in joints restricted from arthritis, scar tissue and muscle spasms.
